An exquisite antique Iberian Parure with gorgeous table cut emeralds has truly rendered us speechless. As difficult as it’ll be to part with, we would love for this mesmerising Catalan set to be acquired by a serious collector of antique jewelry, for in a treasure trove they truly belong! We can imagine this bedazzling parure being worn to a decadent Spanish ball. The wearer in an ivory silk satin robe à l’anglaise whose simplicity would set off the richness of the emeralds, making its wearer feel like royalty.

The design has a movement to it that remind one of times gone by, the delicate, floral aesthetic of the pendant with its masterfully carved details are just superb and exemplary of the Rococo period. After international trade saw flowers being transported, think of Tulip mania spreading all over Europe the century before this, it’s no wonder that flowers and floral motifs became so popular with artists and craftsmen alike. Feathers, flowers, and foliage are typical of the era of Rococo jewelry that transitioned and existed alongside Georgian era jewelry.

The centre piece of the pendant appears to form a cross, often symbolic of loyalty and respect for authority. The brooch or pendant measures 7.5 x 5.5cm/ 2.9 x 2.1 inches and has a retro fitted security pin. There is a refinement in this set that truly makes it stand out as a collector’s item. It would also hold its own in a museum setting. This treasured set is made with 15k 625 gold that has a substantial collective weight of 34.5g. The lovely earrings have a simplicity to them, unlike the excessive ornamentation that some jewelry from this period is known for, which sets them apart. The solid gold orb perched above and teardrop below with stunning floral details, embellish the emeralds beautifully. Measuring 4.2 x 1.6 cm/1.6 x 0.6 inches, they each have retro fitted English locks.

We leave you with these dazzling thoughts about our Iberian Parure that would be the perfect romantic grand gesture to mark a special anniversary or milestone birthday. It would also be an incredible wedding gift for someone very close. We can easily imagine this work of art adorning a beautiful bride or making its way to a collection of Rococo jewelry in equal measure.

Care

Hey there, bling lover! Time for some jewelry TLC, because even diamonds need a little pampering now and then. Here's the scoop:

1. Handle with Care:

Diamonds and other precious stones may be tough cookies, but they're not superheroes (despite of what a few well-known marketing commercials might say...). Avoid sudden impacts or dropping your jewels like they're hot – they can get a little banged up if they hit hard surfaces. Just like you wouldn't take your fancy city Bentley off-roading, keep your bling safe from heavy-duty action!

2. Shower Shenanigans:

We know, we know – singing in the shower with your sparkly pals sounds like a blast. But hold the waterworks! Shower steam can make your stones lose their sparkle, and soap grease residues can dull their shine and get into settings. Save the bling for after your scrub-a-dub session.

3. Kitchen Confessions:

Cooking up a storm? Keep your jewels on the bench, champ! Chemicals from cleaning products and cooking oils can tarnish metal coatings and dim the dazzle of your gemstones. In case the gemstones were filled or treated with extra color - oh my - they will suffer! And all that is a kitchen drama you don't need on your plate!

4. Hairspray Hijinks:

Spritzing your 'do with hairspray? Keep your jewelry out of the line of fire! Overspray can leave a sticky residue that's no fun for your gems and can be especially detrimental for moist-loving stones - like pearls and opals. Give your bling a break while you glam up your locks – they'll thank you for it!

5. Precious but Fragile:

Now, let's talk about opals and pearls – the delicate darlings of the gem world. Handle these beauties with extra care, as they're more fragile than your average gemstone. Avoid harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, and rough handling to keep them shining bright. Most importantly, remeber this sweet couple loves to be properly moisturized. So wear them often to avoid surface drying out and keep them separate from our other treasures (especially so - tarnishing metals)!

Remember, a little love goes a long way when it comes to caring for your jewelry.

So keep those gems sparkling and your bling game strong! ✨💎🛁
