Antique Edwardian Cushion Cut Diamond Solitaire White Gold Engagement Ring
Couldn't load pickup availability
A very rare antique French engagement ring featuring a circa 0.5 carat old cushion cut diamond. The diamond has a good clarity and color and is set in 8 elegant prongs. “The Cushion" cut is a style of diamond cutting popular before 1890, it features a cushion shaped outline, rather than the round outline of the modern cut and old European cuts, and has a different facet arrangement. It may or may not have an open culet. In our case, the diamond has an open culet which we can see as a black dot reflection in the center.
Three round diamonds sit on either side along the band made of 18k French white gold, hallmarked with the "Eagles Head" - a French stamp for 18k gold.
The ring is in excellent condition and is currently a size 6,25 US, which van be adjusted. It will make a stunning antique engagement or anniversary ring!
