An astonishing beauty dating back to the Edwardian era. Presumably Austrian, this ring dates back to the early 1900`s and is set with luminous diamonds.

This gorgeous ring is a fine example of a so-called Art Nouveau "Shield Ring", which has a substantial coverage. Such rings were used to be worn for a special occasion or a nigh out.

The silver mounting of the crown is engraved with decorative ornamental motif - typical ornament for the At Nouveau hand made jewelry. The ring's crown is combination of gold and old silver. It was believed that silver holds the diamonds better than the gold in the good old days.

Band and base of the crown is made of 14 ct yellow gold, it is currently in size US 8.5 - can be easily resized.

The crown is set with a mix of "Old Cut" and "Old Brillant Cut" diamonds.
The total weight is approximately 1 ct and VS-SI-P1 Clarity/I-J Color.

This is a really stunning diamond ring in a very good original condition. Perfect antique condition - no fixes or repairs. Can be re-sized.
