Antique Early Victorian Garnet Ring
A beautiful and rare antique Victorian British ring dating to the early-mid 1800's. Coming from the United Kingdom and hallmarked accordingly, this 12k gold ring has a lovely rococo style crown set with pink hessonite garnet, rock crystals and green paste stones.
The shank has recognisable early Victorian style scroll decor of it's shoulders and ornate stone setting.
Will make a beautiful addition to any briitish gemstone rings collection!
Hallmarks: 12k, acid test shows 12 ct gold, worn out British marks;
Crown stones: 2 garnets of circa 0.1 inch in diameter each, 4 smaller green pastes, 2 rock crystals measuring 0.2 x 0.1 inch each;
Centerpiece: 0.5 x 0.45 inch;
Size: US 9, EU 19 or 59;
Weight: 1.6 grams;
Condition: good antique - traces of old repair around one of the crystals and suface wear of this stone. Otherwise prestine.
