Proud to present - a magnificent antique 14K gold brooch!
This is a unique, custom made pin - a re-purposed antique 14K Bible clasp, which was turned into a brooch in early-20th century.
The clasp has a glossy finish and a delicate bow tie shape. You can still see a screw holding two parts together if you look a bit closer.
The clasp has a very fine fleur-de-lis motive in a precise goldsmith engraving - truly an outstanding piece, highly collectible by enthusiasts!
Hallmarks: Oak Leaf for old Dutch 14K Gold;
Weight: 4.3 g.;
Dimensions: 40 x 22 mm (widest parts);
Origin: Bible clasp late 18 - early 19 century, Holland; was converted in a pin in early 1900s;
Very minor signs wear, two very thin scratch marks, tube clasp works perfectly.
